     within a CL you can DSPFD for the file name specify type as *MBR and 
     specify the output as *OUTFILE.  then process the outfile, obtaining 
     the member names by looking at field MBNAME.  The format for the 
     outfile created by the type *MBR is found in file QSYS/QAFDMBR.
     
     you could, of course, also do this within RPG also by using QCMDEXEC 
     to execute the DSPFD.
