I haven't had the need to do SSL yet.  We use a private WAN for our socket
communications with our customers.  We will probably use VPN if we ever get
a customer that wants a socket connection via the internet.  I recommend the
Redbooks from IBM on TCP/IP programming and VPN.

I am endeavouring to write an SSL socket client that sends a request to an
HTTPS web server. The SSL_Init() fails since it appears to need a valid key
ring file and password. I suspect a keyring and certficate that can be used
for this purpose needs to exist on the AS/400, but I'm pretty green in that
area. Do you know how to go about this?
