Hello Jon,

You have been away too long :)

MOVE works correctly although Z-ADD is more appropriate.  The compiler knows 
what the 
data types are and converts accordingly.  Even moving character data into a 
numeric field 
results in valid numeric data -- just might not be the number you expect!
