My apologies to those of you who were inconvenienced in some way by my
original post. And the one that through some voodoo spell, reared its ugly
head today.
I had expected last week, when I made the post, to receive some type of
reprimand for clogging inboxes with what some consider promotional material.
But not today.
Chuck, a week to respond to a post that only Brad( I don't recall anyone
else responding) responded to. Was this really necessary? If you were away
until now it still doesn't justify your post. It was completely unnecessary.
I could have understood you addressing me with the correction of ad vs.
news, but not Brad. Your post could definitely be perceived as bitter and
to quote John Lennon "Perception is 99% reality." (:>

Perhaps you can explain what I'm bitter about? I am the
author of a
wildly-successful book in 1991. However, I'm not really
bummed that the
"System/36 Power Tools" books isn't really selling any more.
<g>

You're reading way too much into my messages. Our last
discussion regarding
Amazon was about my response to what I considered an unfair
of Java books
and the e-RPG book. This time it's about "news" that isn't
really "news",
                but an "ad".

Are you saying that promotional material belongs in this
list? I've been
under the impression that subscribers (including me) have
little patience
for too many vendor promotions. Perhaps it's just me.
