I love this list!  Paul and Chris are quite right - there's _always_ a way
to make things work.  My point (badly made as ever) was that RPG's support
of VARCHAR is really just starting to be helpful.  If you want to use
VARCHAR fields you'll need to plan on how to present and update them in the
Block Mode world of the 5250 data stream.

I hope that this discussion was moderately useful to someone else on the
list besides me...
