I dug up an old RPGII program and it contains the following code to process a 
record address sort file:
I have changed the file names to match yours:

      FCMFILE  IP  F 448 448R  I        DISK
      FASCM1540IR  F 768   3  3IT      EDISK
      E    ASCM1540CMFILE
