Check out FNDSTRPDM.  It has an option to recompile stuff for you.
I have not used it in this capacity though.  I just discovered this
little hidden feature in passing.
Ideally you would use it to scan your source looking for the copybook
line.  When it is found the program is recompiled by FNDSTRPDM.

Let me say again that I have not tried this so don't know if it would
work that way.
