Don't forget Booth that you are looking at the "mechanics" of this - ideally the
person writing this code should be wrapping it up in subprocedures so that the
"grunts" (or to use Roger's phrase = RPG Grizzly bears) don't have to know any
more about it than they do %Subst or %Trim or whatever.  Also you only have to
learn the fundamentals (which aren't hard) I've taught a lot of folks how to do
this stuff - some will never get it - but that's also true of MODS,
subprocedures and even CHAIN vs SETLL
