It's a mattter of style or aesthetics.  The code works fine, but the loop
control statement doesn't do anything.  My aesthetic theory of programming
sez: "A loop control statement should be the only exit point."  In the
example the control statement could have been "1 doweq 1" and the program
would have worked the same.

I'm not interested in a leave/iter/goto war.  I'm sure I've written code
that would have been simpler and more direct if I hadn't tried to avoid
them.  In C the equivalents of leave and iter are used regularly.  The C
equivalent of SELECT depends on the equivalent of leave.
