I have Comcast for internet access at home. Just got the bill yesterday and
it went from $42.95/mo to $57.95/mo. And an insert says it's going to
$59.95/mo on June 1. FIOS doesn't reach out here.

I switched to FIOS almost 2 years ago. I love it! The only problem is
that my contract is up in Aug and I've heard from others that their new
prices are quite a bit higher that what I'm currently paying. I'm
planning on playing them off Comcast to see how low they'll go.

I like the idea of streaming content but Comcast is our capping bandwidth
at 250GB per month. Sure you can use all you want above that for an
additional fee. As streaming movies increase in popularity and go to HD
the amount of streaming data will go up and up making that cap easier and
easier to hit. Luckily, in my market we also have Verizon's Fios which,
as of now, has no caps. I'm getting closer and closer every day to
switching.
