Apple is selling a Lifestyle. IBM isn't. You can't compare those
companies to each other - the type of Marketing that IBM needs is much
different from the Marketing Apple needs.
The problem IBM has is that they have to much internal competition.
They're selling to many platforms which can be used to solve the same
problem. This makes nauseating for the customer because IBM will
always say things that contradict each other, as long as they have so
many platforms (which isn't necessarily bad, it just makes Marketing
very, very difficult).
