Is this a developer lease, the 1% or %1.75 lease? If it is just a normal
lease then it should include the OS. I assume the developer lease does
also. How much are they wanting to charge for the OS? Are they maybe
talking about software subscription so you can get V5R2 when it comes out?
The C compiler will be part of WDS, which will include PDM, other
compilers, and some other stuff. But remember you can use it for 70 days
without paying for it. The 70 days also goes for the OS/400.
Also you say a Linux project I assume by OS you mean OS/400 and not Linux.
And your talking about an iSeries where memory is $10 a meg and a 17gig
drive is $1,400 of course you are being taken. And if you are getting
interactive features, that should remove all doubt about if you are being
taken.
