Yes, that is what I was referring to, although I think I neglected to add the object connect needs to be loaded (no charge additional software from IBM)

If the DDM is working for you great! Keep using it. For most DDM is significantly more difficult to get working and do to some of the security settings needed to make it work easily, some shops won’t allow it. (Then again if proper object authority is in place it does not matter)

Setting up the enterprise objects needed first SAVRST is easy, it’s fast, and works better than FTP. IBM does a great job of documenting this function too

If you want a cl that will set it all up contact me privately or just look in the archives, I’ve published them before

Are you talking about this:

For whatever reason, we haven't done the necessary setup to enable
SAVRST, but we do have DDM working, and I've found that to be quite
easy and fast. Since it's used often here, we have some wrappers that
streamline the process down to the point where it is just one command
or program call to do any ad hoc transfer.

Ultimately, almost any technology for transferring stuff between two
modern IBM i systems is going to be Fast Enough (tm) for typical
purposes, and then it's just a matter of writing the necessary
wrappers so that regardless of how complicated it might be with
IBM-supplied commands or APIs, it's still just one command or call in
day-to-day use.
