Just checked, documentation says it came out at 7.4 - it isn't actually part of ACS but is using the CLDOWNLOAD feature of ACS - so you can get the same result that way, with a call to the Java method.

Once you get 7,4 or figure out the CLDOWNLOAD method (which probably can be executed from QShell, we do this, and we are on 7.3 - there's a PTF that puts the JAR file in the IFS).

If you run this way, it will be a CSV file - that extension is added to PATH_NAME. There's the SPREADSHEET_TYPE parameter you can use, either csv or xlsx or ods, in lowercase.

I like your use of VALUES for this.

Cheers
Vern

Hi all

In our IBM i that run v7.4 if we try to execute " VALUES
SYSTOOLS.GENERATE_SPREADSHEET(
PATH_NAME => '/usr/fileA_spreadsheet',
FILE_NAME => 'A',
LIBRARY_NAME => 'MYLIB');

we receive SQL0204 GENERATE_SPREADSHEET in SYSTOOLS of type *N not found :

we are missing some PTF ? which ?

Thanks in advance
