Hello Paul,

" It is now, but it wasn't always."

Jim Sloan would disagree with you.

I can live with that.

Previously, IBM shipped much of his code in the QUSRTOOL library. One had to spend a lot of time creating useful tools from that code.

Well, my adolescent years are influenced by early Linux and Open Source. I'm used to compile stuff myself. And those (rare) tools whose descriptions promised being helpful enough to me to warrant the time investment to make them run are doing their job after not too much effort. Yes, they're often incomplete. No online help text, no command prompts. That's not too bad compared to some FOSS software out there. ;-)

When Jim acquired the rights to the code, he came out with TAATOOL, which he
had smartly rolled the code into quick and easy commands.

I have read about it on his website.

Frequently, it's more economical to buy than build.

Allow me to kindly point out that I'm a hobbyist. We have sometimes contrary needs or opinions compared to the commercial world. Especially when it comes down to spending (private, not corporate) money.

:wq! PoC
