I would suggest that whoever IBM has designing web sites, (for years now) does not have a clue how the real world works. First off WAY TOO much white space and useless icons/images etc.. We don’t need pretty, we need functionality. (My main argument for 5250 data entry screens vs. Web apps, but that’s another discussion) Along with the visual design issues they also lose the real function of the page, IE comments. The designers apparently never understand the use case the site is supposed to follow so they just go off their merry way.

Now compare the differences between the New Navigator and most of the rest of IBM web sites. Navigator is concise, data and user centric, can be set to provide more data if desired, and most importantly works! Rochester deserves many kudos for designing Navigator (yes you Tim) and they never quite get the recognition they deserve.

I’ll shut up now.

IBM changed the "Ideas" site. The old (but not as old as the RFE site)
version is still there but even if you log in you cannot see the comments

Old site: https://ideas.ibm.com/
New site: https://ibm-power-systems.ideas.ibm.com/

Which I find freaking hilarious as I was trying to look up an idea I
submitted about documentation which the CAAC deems as dangerous as it might
break links! The CEAC thinks the CAAC is nuts and backs my suggestion.
