RDi does save some info for display files - not the create parameters in my experience. What it does save is what it calls screens - sample combinations of records with indicator sets and sample data. There is something similar for printer files - I believe you can have multiple printer file records in the sample.

RLU includes the create choices in the tool, RDi doesn't. You *can* create custom commands, perhaps a set that include the parameters for each of the main kinds of device files you make.

Is there a native way to embed printer file compile options within the printer file source so that one doesn't always have to look at the current printer file object to see how it was compiled and then match that?
