Until now, you were talking only about 5250 HOD sessions files. There is also another file which retains iACS global system configuration. I don't know if it makes sense for you to look at this one. Anyway on my PC, this is a prefs.dat file in a folder whose name does not seem to be easy to find: "Documents\IBM\iAccessClient\Settings\client.configuration\com.ibm.iaccess.base.x0041csx0053ystemx0043onfig\pub400.com" where "pub400.com" is the name of the system in iACS configuration.

However, x0041 might be "A", x0053 might be "S", x0043 might be "C" which comes to:
"Documents\IBM\iAccessClient\Settings\client.configuration\com.ibm.iaccess.base.AcsSystemConfig\pub400.com" which makes some sense!

There is this line inside:

Use\ SSL=Yes

And, if I uncheck "Use SSL for connection" in General panel of System configuration, it becomes.

Use\ SSL=No
