In PASE, e.g., via ssh or QP2TERM, issue *ls /**whatever-filename*
If the return code is 0, the file exists.
In the example below, I use *ls -d* (list directory name only) so it
doesn't list me the contents of the directory or library).







*$ ls -d /QSYS.LIB/QSYS.LIB$ echo $?0$ ls -d /QFOO.LIBls: cannot access
'/QFOO.LIB': A file or directory in the path name does not exist.$ echo $?2*
