Hello Marc,

For this particular *OUTQ issue (I guess you are talking about output queue linked to a printer device), I was used to restore QUSRSYS library prior to configuration.
Not sure. I'm talking about qprint, qprint2, qprints, etc. Object types are *outq, probably *devd, and maybe *file (prtf).

I took some notes about that. See https://try-as400.pocnet.net/wiki/Post-Install_Optimizations#Cleanup_unneeded_stuff

My specific point was about output queues in QUSRSYS linked to printer devices. When I was using remote output queues, I was used to create a dummy printer device (for some reason that I forgot, maybe related to assistance level in ASSIST menu). When running RSTCFG command, when there is no existing output queue in QUSRSYS for a printer device to be restored, this output queue was created at restore time. And on old OS versions (I don't know if it is still the case), it was not possible to restore an output queue over an existing one. Therefore, any output queue customization like remote IP address was lost.

And, in regard to BRMS recovery actions described by Rob, normally, configuration information is restored prior to QUSRSYS library. So, here, I was not using the exact recovery report. Maybe, I could have added a specific step to restore only QUSRSYS *OUTQ objects in place of QUSRSYS library prior to configuration.
