If you actively avoid SFTP on IBMi, I'm curious where you do use SFTP ?
It is what has been used in the past. Now I am steering the business towards leveraging functionality in our ERP system, JD Edwards. Or attempting to.
Their Orchestrator product supports making any E1 program a callable API. It also has Connectors inbuilt where I can conduct sFTP within E1 and have the security in the connector. That way the user who retrieves the file will be the same one who processes the file (and/or creates it, in the case of outbound stuff).
