I recently had to add a temporary set of libraries for QA of a
particular project. Sadly, there was quite a lot of CL/SQL that had hard
coded libraries in it - these had to be hunted down and changed for the
temporary copy of the application to work as intended.
If these had been in a table, I would have had to change just the
control tables instead of digging through eleventy-seven thousand lines
of code.
I'm not intending to be prescriptive! I just thought I'd share one way
to view it.
