Re: Save library and restore with no data in files

Try to do this:

Use the CPYLIB command first, and copy that library to some other named
library. There is a "Duplicate data" parameter that will keep or not the
data in physical files. Then save that new library and use it to restore
to the new partition.

I thought there was a parm on the SAVLIB/SAVOBJ/RSTLIB/RSTOBJ command that
would do this but I’m unable to find it.

I know there’s a parm on CRTDUPOBJ but I can’t use that to move the library
to another partition.

Is there a way to do this with just SAVRST commands so I don’t have to
CLRPFM after I restore the library?
