You stated that the resolution of a TV is as good as a monitor.
I was simply pointing out that it is not.

I'm going to disagree with you. I've had numerous people try to use 36" TV's as monitors, and the resolution is no where near a smaller monitor.
Now for what Jerry is trying to do, it may be OK with a green screen. But what I saw was not good enough for "up close" work.
Well, you can certainly disagree with using a 36" TV on a desk, for
use by someone working *at* that desk, but no one was proposing that.
Whenever someone talks about using a TV as their computer monitor,
they mean using it while sitting some appropriate distance away, such
as on the couch where they would be watching a movie or TV show on
said TV.
And you talk about "what Jerry is trying to do" as though it's
something other than what I was talking about. He mentioned a "large"
TV, potentially 75 inches. Who is proposing "up close" work on a
75-inch screen???
