My Windows7 PC has JAVA_HOME set (User variable) to the local JVM. It uses the server JVM anyway. My PC only used the local JVM when the server JVM didn't exist.

We also use ACS in with shares.
Possibly Java_Home System Environment variable on local PC.
I have a Java_Home System Environment for C:\Program Files\Amazon Corretto Java 8\jre1.8.0_232\.
Testing ACS using Amazon Corretto Java 8 instead of using Oracle Java
