The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

One thing I've noticed on the JAR command with V7R4 is that the files
created have a CCSID of 1208 vs 819 on V7R3 and previous.
Does this matter at all? I mean, conceptually, I would think CCSID
only affects how text is decoded, and a ZIP file isn't text. Like,
what's the CCSID of a JPEG? Does it really matter?
If for some reason you need it to be a particular CCSID, then my
recommendation is to not mess around and just use the CHGATR command.
Then move on to a real problem. ;)
