How does one confirm the install and/or current status of Open Source packages installed via ACS, Tools, Open Source Package Management?
Can it only be viewed through ACS?
Is there anything from a 5250 green screen session?

From a green screen, you can use either QSH or QP2TERM. At their
command line, type

/QOpenSys/pkgs/bin/yum list installed

(You could also leave off the "installed" to show both installed and
available-but-not-yet-installed packages. They will be in separate
sections of the listing so you can differentiate.)
