I figured it was some validity checker or some such thing they put on
the command and not the command properties because, as you said, I
have all the bases covered.
Good catch on the APIs. My only concern with those APIs is that they
look like they are handling QSYS.LIB objects and not stream file
objects. I'll open a ticket.
CHGVAR VAR(&DATA1) VALUE('TESTLIB TESTAPI *PGM *ALL ')
The other option is to suffer horribly through the command, shifting,
adding, deleting around the items. What an awful interface. Thought
I had a work around ...

Well it certainly isn't 'Mode' or 'Where allowed to run' as that
command covers all the bases. Searching on BRM1547 I did however find

Two things.
One: I am not getting CPD0031-Command ... not allowed in this
setting. I am getting BRM1547 - Command not allowed in this setting.
Two:
I already have the following. What do I need to change?
Mode(s) in which valid . . . . . . . . : *PROD
*DEBUG
*SERVICE
Where allowed to run . . . . . . . . . : *IMOD *BMOD *IREXX
*BREXX *BPGM *IPGM
*EXEC *INTERACT
*BATCH
What do I need to change?

Can you not simply change the command CHGCMD to allow the required mode?

Already tried CALL QCMD?
Already hit F11 for the full screen on CALL QCMD?
And still out of space?
Or are you just tired of trying to paste that command without the
line
Well, have I got a deal for you.top and you'll have full access to the current joblog associated
Use Run SQL Scripts.
Start your line with
CL:
And a space. Then paste to your hearts content.
Oops command failed? No problem, look at the messages at the bottom.
Want more detail? Just click on the Joblog icon at the icon menu
at the
with your Run SQL Scripts job.
a BRM message I suspect they did it otherwise. Kind of verified it
Now if I could just get past
BRM1547 - Command not allowed in this setting.
My first thought was to look at the command properties but, since
it was
with
Mode(s) in which valid . . . . . . . . : *PROD
*DEBUG
*SERVICE
Where allowed to run . . . . . . . . . : *IMOD *BMOD *IREXX
*BREXX *BPGM *IPGM
*EXEC *INTERACT
Darn, I have a huge CHGLNKLBRM command I want to run.--
