I'm not Jack. But in regard to your question about a better method than
ODBC, I would recommend the use of "native" REST web services. ILE programs
can generate JSON formatted streams just as efficiently as QZDASOINIT Jobs
can generate ODBC formatted streams. However the architecture is better in
that API interfaces enable shops to better control which clients are
getting access to what. They also provide a better interface for performing
data validation, RI constraints, and database related business rules.
