I have a system, which is currently using a LAN console, to a twinax
console. I know, I prefer a LAN console, too. In short, this is for a
company that is no longer in operation, but they have to have access to the
data for another year. I have to move the System i (a 520 at V5R4) from
its
current "home" to another location. Once I get it moved, I may
re-configured the LAN console (or I may just rest on my laurels).
Anyway, I think I know how to do this, but I need confirmation that my
thought is correct and complete. I think the only thing I need to do is
run
STRSST and change the second option on this panel to '1'. It will probably
ask me (or force me) to re-IPL. Anyway, is this the extent of what I have
to do?
