Yes, I've heard this a couple times in the past couple months. A call
center employs hundreds of workers. Most of them are young. They have
relatively high turn-over. They want to reduce the time required to get new
employees up to speed. They believe that a browser user interface will help.
Another organization has begun to replace green screens and is anxious to
complete the transition so that workers don't have to switch between one
and the other, or support both interfaces.
