The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

How many users in your organization need to access Navigator for i?
I would think that it is relatively few "sysadmin" types.
These people should understand the security implications
of adding an exception for a self-signed certificate.

I strongly disagree - give people the tools they need to perform their jobs
most easily.
As long as proper security exists, I don't see any reason to not give
Navigator not only to system administrators, but also Developers and Super
Users. Our developers do not have *IOSYSCFG, *SECADM, or *SERVICE special
authorities (and thus cannot change anything), but we have the full-blown
Navigator installed which allows working with:
- Basic Operations (Messages, Printer Output [drag spooled files to Windows
Folders], Printers, Jobs)
- Work Management (Active Jobs, Server Jobs, Job Queues, Output Queues,
Subsystems, Memory Pools)
- Configuration and Service (System Values, History Log, TIme Management,
Hardware, Software, Collection Services, Logical Partitions)
- Network
- Security
- Users and Groups
- Databases (Run SQL Scripts, Import/export data to/from Windows to/from IBM
i tables)
- File Systems (Drag and drop files to/from IFS folders)
- Application Development
- AFP Manager
I frequently use Navigator for dragging-and-dropping spooled files and IFS
files to my PC for use in documentation. CPYSPLF & WRKLNK on the
green-screen? Yuk.
I also frequently use Run SQL Scripts function for querying tables.
