I am concerned that you did not see Rob's requirement - I think there is a place on that site to report issues - if so, please report this. We on the CAAC try to catch these things, but I know that I don't come in with non-admin access, so I don't see how that works. And, no, I don't do the web design!!

Below is IBM's response to your requirement. IBM has rejected it.

If unbundling equates to allowing local partitioning to be used without

Right on brother! I've asked that they unbundle partitioning from DB2
Multisystem. I think I've submitted both a DCR and a COMMON request
(#367). Well, I just added the COMMON one, and it told me #367, but I
don't see it upon review.

How does one say "Amen!" to a COMMON request? I'd like to add mine to
Larry's #361.

Working with our BP to configure a new POWER8 box...

Just a small S814 (8286-41A), P05 tier, using 1 core for IBM i

One addition I'd asked for was DB2 Multisystem (5770-ss1 option 27).
Simply because I'd like to be able to have locally partitioned tables;
particularly for historical data.

Are you kidding me IBM? One LICPGM cost more than the rest of the OS?

That's just nuts.

Mainly just venting, as I don't expect this post do solve anything.
