Interestingly, according to the book _Understanding the New SQL: A
Complete Guide_ (written by Melton and Simon when SQL-92 was the "new
SQL"), older versions of SQL were even stricter: A "schema" was
conceived as a container for everything that a user owned; thus there
would always be exactly one schema per user. In such a system, it was
only natural that the schema name would be the same as the user name.
