I don't have it at hand, but I recall that Scott did an article on a UDTF that did just that - a list of stream files. It may have been a presentation for our user group a few years back.

If you're interested in rolling your own I could whip up a presentation on evolution which goes something like:
- Converting a subroutine into a subprocedure.
- Moving the subprocedure externally into a service program
- Creating a SQL UDF based on that subprocedure
- Embedding that UDF into a SQL view

Then if someone could take Scott Klements' API wrappers for stream files and figure out a way to put those into a view, or a UDTF, that would be really cool!
