Thanks for the feedback, Brad. It's nice to get a response from someone who
has experience with product packaging, distribution, installation, and
upgrades. I would like to automate the process as much as possible for us
as a distributor as well as IBM i shops as consumers.
I received a response offline reminding me about the LODRUN command, which
could automate the "restore" step. Anything that streamlines the process is
welcome. A mention was made of product "packaging" options available in
Management Central, as an alternative to System Manager.
