Very often, midrange commands have the option to direct the output to
the display, a printer, or a table. Typically, such commands have a
keyword named OUTPUT. These keywords can be seen by typing the command
name (here WRKJRNA) on a command line and instead of pressing Enter,
press F4 to prompt the command. Depending on settings in your user
profile, you may not be able to see the keywords unless you press F11.

It turns out that WRKJRNA is one of those commands where you can direct
the output to a table. Here is an example:

WRKJRNA JRN(MYJRN)
OUTPUT(*OUTFILE)
DETAIL(*JRNFILE)
OUTFILE(QTEMP/MYJRN)
