Not a bad plan.
<snip>
Unlike Rob, we keep the same number of reports as we have tapes to match
in rotation

Is there a tape expiration exit point that could be utilized to clean up
these reports?

Others have given good suggestions.
My customers all get set up so the BRMS reports go into a transformation
services out queue (free from IBM) to create the PDFs. Then we usually
have a batch job that kicks off to FTP them to another server, usually off
site. Many of my customers use my IBM i system for that purpose. Many
also email them to me and their cloud based email. Unlike Rob, we keep
the
same number of reports as we have tapes to match in rotation, so any given
full/cumulative pair of tapes should have a report that goes along with
it. The auditors love that little item for some reason.

I've had a process in place for years where my two most critical BRMSeach
reports (Recovery Volume Summary and Recovering The Entire System from
of three partitions) are converted to PDF's and emailed to gmail, lycosand

Exchange.
Occasionally now we get flagged/blocked as a source of spam. In the past
this never seemed to affect gmail - until today. Now I can't email (even
manually) my reports anywhere.
I've got the email admin looking into this, and I suspect (as they have
the past), they can call or logon to a site and get the blacklist entry90
removed, but this seems to only be a temporary solution and after about
days the problem reappears.list
So what is everyone else doing to ensure access to their BRMS Reports in
the event of a disaster?
