The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

How can I use the CPYTOIMPF command to output to a network folder?
We want to avoid the manual step of moving the files from an IFS
folder to the network folder.
The concept is general, beyond the realm of just the DBF export
utility. If the understanding exists to effect "the manual step of
moving the files from an IFS folder to the network folder", then the
understanding of directing the file creation via another interface
should follow directly. Just:
Specify in the path name of the file, the directory under the root
file system that identifies the network location as a mounted\network
file system. Really no different than what would be don to move the
files there.?
I know about mapping IFS folders so they show up on your PC. But not
sure about going the other direction.
As an example of what might be done using the IBM i NetClient File
System (QNTC), in order to direct the output to the file named
MyFile.prg on a particular server and share-name within a particular
directory, use the following naming [replacing xxxName with the
appropriate values:
/QNTC/ServerName/ShareName/DirectoryName/MyFile.prg
For reference on use of that FS:
IBM i 7.2->Files and file systems->Integrated file system->File
systems->IBM i NetClient file system (QNTC)
