After installing the LIC, and when you get to Load the Operating System, there will be a question. Take the defaults, which is the default. Don't take this. Then on a further screen down, you want to restore the system information from your save media (if you take the defaults in the previous question, you don't get to reply). This will give you all the System values, network information (The CHGNETA stuff), Edit descriptions.

Subject: Scratch Installation

Dear Friends,

I am creating a new LPAR which will be used to make an exact replica of my PRODUCTION system. Further on I will be using that as my Production system I will have to perform scratch install using the full system and check sys values and disk requirements and so on.
Can you fine people add some necessary checks or requirement to have this migration smooth. We are using 7.1

Thanking you all

Aamir
