Jim,

If you can get to a 5250 session at that customer site often you can get
to an HMC session at that customer site. HMC's can be configured to allow
remote access to their screen via any browser. In fact, even the local
HMC itself uses a browser interface into itself. So you get the same
interface, with but a few selections not available if your not the local
machine.
Manage Serviceable Events is one of those that you can get to remotely.
