.. I was being funny. I haven't actually used plastic disks for anything beyond a bare metal install literally in years. I even live in the boonies where I have to have a 100 ft tower (which apparently is now 99'6" as it's sinking) to get real internet.

You may have a legit reason for wanting plastic (yes they do exist) but mostly I see folks use disks only because they are resisting change.
