RE: Hardware attachability question

fixed

We have a Plasmon Optical Juke Box type 399F on our Power 7 which is connected to a 571A-001 storage controller, part number 0000044V5591
Location : U5796.001.16675A7-P1-C1

This is SCSI-LVD connection. Not supported on power 8 I have been told.

E4A = Power6, Power 6 = NO IOP on CEC therefore i would think that IF it's
supported you could only do it via a 5790 with 2844 + 2749 (if its HVD
SCSI, i dont remember all the kinds of interfaces that monster had). Only
client that still has one has it attached to the original 9406-720...

Best of luck

Paul,

Previously we had a 3995 connected to a Power5 9406-550, a 2749 card was
used for this.

Anybody know if a 3995 optical jukebox can be attached to a 520 E4A? If
so, what adapter card will be needed?
