Two questions
1 - Do these versions of Linux support a browser?
2 - Is your IBM i running 7.1 with a somewhat current TR level?

If so, then you could easily use http://youribmi:2001 and do many of the
things IBM i Navigator for Windows does. Granted, it can be REALLY slow.
The port 2001 function does work on earlier versions of the OS but was
dramatically rewritten at 7.1 with a certain TR level.
