I'm sure that I remember a "spreadsheet" like product like Rob described. It was wholly proprietary, as I recall, and was similar to how the dos based Lotus 1-2-3 operated (by design, as I recall). I do not member that this product worked with stream files at all. I'm modestly certain that this was a S/38 product, and I saw it after the AS/400 was released.
