I suppose you could segregate different size disks into different ASPs. I
normally hate that because it generally increases wasted space. For
example, now I've got only 10% in ASP1 but I need to use more in ASP1.
I've got more disk, but it's in ASP2. Tough to shift around. Sort of
like going from internal disk on all machines to SAN disk. A little
easier to shift around space.
Normally I just upgrade the smaller disks. Yes, it can be painful at
times. And when you do a dozen or so it's probably better to do an
unload/reload than the pain I went through.
