FTP is kind of funny. You can't do a cd / if you are in namefmt 0 and you
do any number of commands before you try the cd /. You may have to issue
namefmt 1 and then try the cd /.

The very last parameter on the user profile may have some implications:
User profile . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : ROB
Home directory . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : /home/ROB
