Thanks but I checked the application administration. I also checked using
DSPFCNUSG, there are no customizations there.

I also checked that the users weren't locked out of root directory somehow.
I'm going to turn on my FTP exit program today to fix it the way I know how.

Probably was using iNAV application administration which is essentially a
GUI front end for functional usage. Make a connection to this system with
iNAV or Director Navigator web interface, open application administration,
click on host applications, and click on TCP/IP utilities, FTP, and then FTP
client operations. The rest is self-explanatory. If you just want to quickly
verify this is what they used for FTP client command security use the
display functional usage command (DSPFCNUSG). I would think that
customizations of the "QIBM_QTMF_CLIENT_REQ_x" functions should be evident.

Subject: FTP Access

I have a customer who has some sort of FTP access restrictions going on.

Some users are restricted from issuing cd \ to move up from their User
profile home directory. Other users can do it. They want me to make all
users be locked into their home directory and below.

I looked for FTP Exit programs, checkws Application administration on
Iseries Navigator, any other places I could think of. I can't find any
indication of how this is being done.

One of their users said he used to control access with an IBM program on his
PC.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks, Jack.
