Re: What should the SAS port on the back of the box be used for?



I know somewhere in this discussion someone mentioned you needed feature
code xxxx to support that port and you said you had it if I remember
correctly. I believe the rule is on a 4core system 'No External Disk'. So
if you have a 6 or 8core box you should be able to use that port.

Yes, it does. Feature EJ01 for the POWER7 720 and 740 systems does
activate the SAS port on the back of the CEC.
