All of those copiers/printers "appear" to support PCL, which is great.

The 6065's can be used as a normal printer with device description.
See this document:

The other two appear to support PCL which is a good thing and that means you can
"maybe" create a device description that will work.

The trick is finding a *HPT that will handle the stream for you.

I would start with the 6065 *hpt suggestions in the document.

Ricoh copiers work quite well as a device description printer.

Morning everyone. At some time today, I will have a new copier/printer to integrate into our system.

In the past, we have had Ricoh copiers. On the iSeries, we have created outq's with remote writers. Not the best option, no control.

I would like to have more control (page control especially) on these new ones. We will be getting one Canon iRc 8105; 5 Canon iR 6065's; and an unknown number of Canon iR4045's. We are currently on V6, but going to V7 in a few months.

Recently there was a discussion of how to do this, could someone send me a link ? I'm not putting together search arguments very well today.

Thanks to all.
